Dr Munish Aggarwal completed his graduation (MBBS) from Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, and Post-Graduation (M.D.) in Psychiatry from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He worked as a Registrar in the Department of Psychiatry, PGIMER, Chandigarh till 2012 and thereafterhe has been working as a Consultant in CMC Hospital.

He is member of various scientific bodies like Indian Medical Association, Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Psychiatric Society- North Zone, Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Indian Association of Private Psychiatry, Indian Association of Social Psychiatry. He has published multiple research papers in reputed national and international journals and has presented many papers in various national and international conferences. He is recipient of many awards like Dr Buckshey award (2011), Marfatia award (2012), B B Sethi award (2012) and PPA I award (2013) for scientific research in Psychiatry
