Done MBBS in 1973 from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. Joined Indian Army in 1974, and during service in Army secured Masters Degree in General Surgery in 1979 from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. Worked in Army from 1974 to 1994 as a Surgeon in the rank of Colonel. Received AVM Srinagesh Silver Medal for standing first in Surgery. Also received many medals for outstanding service in Operational areas of Assam & Mizoram etc. After retirement from Army worked in ChhuttaniMedical Centre from 1996 to 2017. Appointged as Associate Professor in Medical College Ambala upto 2020. At present working as Senior Consultant Surgeon in CMC.
